LG to Start Selling 15” OLED TV in November
The company will begin selling it in Korea in November, a month sooner than previously expected, and overseas next year.

Looks like the holiday shopping will be coming earlier in Korea this year.

After being previously reported that LG would start sales of its much-anticipated 15-inch OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) TV in December, Reuters is now saying that the company would be launching the set next month with Korean rollout now slated to start in November.

It appears that the original info provided toOLED-info.com regarding the overseas rollout scheduled to follow, presumably in early 2010, will stay on schedule.

At least this way, we can start salivating a month sooner, and check out reviews a month sooner, of the product. It’ll be showcased in September at the IFA 2009 show in Berlin, after LG gave us a sneak preview way back in January at CES.

The other good news is that we know this is only the beginning for LG. An LG executive noted that a 40-incher is planned for the “not too distant future.”

And hopefully by then LG will be one of several companies sporting larger-size OLEDs to create some attractive pricing for what is sure to be an attractive HDTV.
